Covid 19 Update 17th March 2020

In line with guidance from both the government and Church of England we find ourselves in the position where we must stop doing many church activities.

As a result of this we will no longer be holding our Sunday services, the 9am, 10:45am (including Sunday Club) and 6:30pm services will not run until the guidance says we can.

We can also confirm that no other church activities will be taking place during this period, this includes homegroups, toddlers, TLC, prayer meetings and other monthly activities. If you are unclear as to what is affected please contact the office.

But, all is not gone.

These are just some of the plans we are putting in place.

We will look to live stream a service at 10:45am, this will be done by an extremely limited number of people in church and not open to the general congregation, more details of how to follow the service will be provided in due course.

The church building will be open from 12pm – 1pm each Sunday, this will be for much needed prayer and reflection. While the building will be staffed we do ask that any visitors keep a suitable distance from each other and not attend if you are vulnerable or showing any signs of illness. This is in line with the request of the Church of England to keep buildings open.

Other content from church may also be made available, we are part way through a series at the 6:30 service and may look to continue that somehow.

We can also email, or deliver the weekly newsletter, while there won’t be much on to put in it, you won’t feel like you are missing out, let us know if you would like this beyond it being available on our website.

We are also keen that while you have the time you are praying. Please sign up on the website for the daily prayer emails and in time Debbi will send out more information about how you can be praying and be prayed for.

Things are also in progress to ensure that people are kept in contact, the vulnerable receive calls and any help required.

As I’m sure you can understand, these are complicated times and things are rapidly changing. Through this God remains in charge and we remain his people, his church. We will continue to love and serve in new ways and seek God’s blessing in doing so.
