Here is another of our Palm Cross pictures from last Sunday.
We are now looking forward to our Passover this evening.
Then tomorrow we have our Good Friday Hour at the Cross – streaming at 2.00 pm
And on Sunday, we meet to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus – our Easter Day Service. Although we can’t physically be together, we can join the live-streamed service at 10.45. Although we can’t have a proper communion service, there will be a space to remember the death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus – please have some bread and wine ready if you like to share in that.
This Sunday morning we are giving our church the chance to say ‘Happy Easter’ to each other. If you want to be part of that please video yourself saying happy Easter on your phone and email it into the office asap, those that arrive in time will be included in the service on Easter day.
Please just say happy Easter though so we can fit them all in!
We are now well into Holy Week. last Sunday, we invited anyone who had made a Palm Cross to send us a picture, so here are some members of Christ Church who did that:
Next in our services for Holy Week is our Maundy Thursday Passover – remembering the Last Supper Jesus shared with his disciples. It’s on Thursday, 6.30 pm, and you can join by Zoom – if you would like to, please let Jane in the office know so that we can send you an invitation.
We’re looking forward to again live-streaming on Sunday morning – this time with some of our young people involved. It will be Palm Sunday, and traditionally we give out Palm Crosses at the start of the service. We obviously won’t be able to do that this year, so why not make your own Palm Cross ready for the service.
You can find instructions to make one here:
Might take a few efforts, but hopefully by Sunday you’ll have one ready!
See you then.
